Kilkee Water Safety Week 2026

Please be on time for class & attend each day. All exams/assessments will be on Friday.

Youngest candidates should be 5yrs and capable of swimming 5 to 8m.

Swimming classes

Lifesaving classes

On Friday, the senior classes, Safety 4 and up must be examined by a WSI examiner, so it is planned to examine classes at the following times:

Safety 1

Safety 2

Safety 3

Safety 4

Rescue 1

Rescue 2

Rescue 3

Clothing is a requirement for the exams in Safety 4, Rescue 2 & Rescue 3. A long sleeved shirt & light long trousers are required for the water. A candidate cannot be examined if they do not have everything they need for the exam.

Seal & Marlin classes are €25
- between 30 and 60mims

Safety classes are €40
- 1hr water work & 1 hr BLS

Rescue classes are €45
- 1 hr water work, 1 hr BLS

- Seal classes approx 30mins each
- Marlin classes approx 45 mins

Safety 1, 2, 3 are 1hr classes

Safety 4 and Rescue classes will have an hour in the water & also an hour of BLS (Basic Life Support)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Wetsuits, swim hats, googles are strongly recommended but not required

• Class times may change during the week due to tides / weather - please check ClubZap and Clare WS facebook for changing times

• Instructors will award the appropriate Seal/Marlin cert dependent on performance at assessment

• Full attendance is required plus completion of assessment in order to receive certification

Please retain receipt and take note of the class you registered your child for. This will ensure a smooth start to the first day.
